Terms & Conditions

Bookings

• All services are subject to availability.
• A booking is only confirmed once it has been accepted by Barking Beauties and any required deposit has been paid.
• Clients must provide accurate and complete information about their dog before services begin and must notify Barking Beauties of any changes to the dog’s health, behaviour, medication, routine or care requirements.

Home Boarding Licence

Barking Beauties provides licensed home boarding under:

Wigan Council Animal Activity Licence AAL0190

Home boarding is subject to availability, suitability and compliance with applicable licensing requirements.

Home Boarding Deposits & Payment

• A 25% deposit is payable at the time of booking to secure home boarding dates.
• The remaining balance is payable in full on the day of arrival.
• Bookings are not considered fully secured until the required deposit has been received.

Home Boarding Cancellation Policy

If a home boarding booking is cancelled:

• If cancelled within 12 weeks of the booking start date, the deposit will be forfeited.
• If cancelled within 6 weeks of the booking start date, 50% of the total booking value will be payable.
• If cancelled within the same calendar month as the booking, or within 2 weeks of the booking start date, the full booking amount will be payable.

Where cancellation terms overlap, the higher applicable cancellation charge will apply.

Vaccinations, Flea & Worming Requirements

Dogs accepted for home boarding must be:

• Fully vaccinated.
• Vaccinated against kennel cough.
• Up to date with worming treatment.
• Up to date with flea treatment.

A copy of the dog’s vaccination record must be provided before boarding.

Barking Beauties reserves the right to refuse or cancel a boarding booking where required vaccination or parasite-control requirements have not been met.

Unspayed Females & Unneutered Males

• Unspayed female dogs may be accepted for home boarding, subject to suitability and any applicable licensing requirements.
• Unneutered male dogs are not accepted for home boarding.
• Owners must inform Barking Beauties if a female dog is in season or is expected to come into season during a booking period.

Dog Walking

• Standard dog walks are approximately one hour unless otherwise agreed.
• Dog walking is currently priced at £15 per one-hour walk, including collection from the client’s home and return afterwards within the normal Barking Beauties collection area.
• Walks are mainly provided as group walks, although arrangements may vary depending on the dog and service requirements.
• Owners must disclose any behavioural issues, aggression, anxiety, reactivity, recall concerns or other information that may affect safe walking arrangements.

Off-Lead Walking

Dogs may be exercised off lead where:

• The owner has given permission.
• Barking Beauties considers the dog’s recall, temperament and circumstances appropriate.
• The environment is considered safe at the time.

Barking Beauties reserves the right to keep any dog on lead if it is considered safer or more appropriate.

Keys & Home Access

• Barking Beauties may hold house keys or agreed access details for dog walking clients where required for collection and return.
• Keys and access information will be handled responsibly and used only for the agreed purpose.
• Clients must provide safe and reliable access arrangements and inform Barking Beauties promptly if locks, alarms or access details change.

Dog Grooming

• Grooming prices may vary according to the dog’s breed, size, coat condition, temperament and the work required.
• Owners must disclose any medical conditions, skin conditions, sensitivities, injuries, behavioural issues or previous grooming concerns before the appointment.
• Where significant matting is present, the dog’s welfare will take priority over cosmetic appearance.
• Barking Beauties may stop or alter a groom if continuing would cause unreasonable stress, discomfort or risk to the dog or groomer.

Health & Behaviour

Owners must disclose all relevant information concerning their dog’s:

• Health conditions.
• Medication.
• Allergies.
• Behaviour.
• Aggression.
• Anxiety or reactivity.
• Feeding requirements.
• Exercise restrictions.
• Any other relevant care needs.

Failure to disclose important information may result in the service being refused or discontinued.

Veterinary Treatment & Emergencies

• Owners must provide current veterinary and emergency contact information where requested.
• If a dog becomes ill or injured while in our care, Barking Beauties will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner or nominated emergency contact.
• Where urgent treatment is reasonably considered necessary and the owner cannot be contacted, Barking Beauties may seek veterinary treatment on the owner’s behalf.
• Unless caused by negligence on the part of Barking Beauties, veterinary costs remain the responsibility of the owner.

Photographs & Updates

• Barking Beauties may take photographs of dogs for the purpose of providing updates to owners during walks, grooming or boarding.
• Separate permission should be obtained before photographs are used publicly for marketing, social media or website purposes.

Payments

• All prices will be confirmed at or before booking.
• Payments must be made within the timescale agreed with Barking Beauties.
• Any applicable deposits, cancellation charges or outstanding balances remain payable in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

Refusal or Termination of Service

Barking Beauties reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate a service where there are reasonable concerns regarding:

• The safety or welfare of a dog.
• The safety of another animal or person.
• Undisclosed behavioural or medical issues.
• Failure to comply with vaccination or boarding requirements.
• Repeated failure to make payment or comply with booking arrangements.

Liability

• Barking Beauties will take reasonable care when providing all services.
• Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.
• Owners remain responsible for providing complete and accurate information about their dog and for complying with the requirements set out in these Terms & Conditions.

Changes to Services, Prices & Terms

• Services, availability, prices and these Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
• The current version will be available on the Barking Beauties website.
